MGNREGA
Nagarik Adhikar Raksha Sangathan is a grassroots organization committed to safeguarding the rights and dignity of MGNREGA workers across West Bengal. Our primary mission is to raise awareness, fight corruption, and ensure that every labourer receives their rightful benefits under government welfare schemes.
Through a range of impactful initiatives—including legal and social awareness camps, vocational training, health check-ups, and community support programs—we strive to uplift the rural workforce and empower them with the knowledge and tools they need to lead secure and dignified lives.
With a strong operational presence throughout West Bengal, we work directly with marginalized communities to promote transparency, ensure accountability, and build a foundation of social justice and self-reliance.
Education
At Nagarik Adhikar Raksha Sangathan, we believe that education is a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty. Our Free Holistic Education Program is specially designed to support the children of MGNREGA laborer families.
We provide free books, notebooks, pencils, and essential stationery, ensuring that no child is deprived of learning due to lack of resources. In addition to primary education support, we also offer guidance and tuition at the higher-secondary level, helping students continue their academic journey with confidence.
By nurturing young minds through consistent academic and material support, we aim to build a brighter, more empowered future for every child in the communities we serve.
Public Safety
Nagarik Adhikar Raksha Sangathan is deeply committed to promoting public safety, especially in rural and underserved communities. We conduct regular awareness campaigns, community meetings, and training programs to educate citizens about their rights, responsibilities, and safety protocols.
Our initiatives focus on:
- Preventing exploitation and abuse of MGNREGA workers
- Promoting safe working conditions
- Raising awareness on women’s safety, child protection, and emergency response practices
- Collaborating with local authorities to address issues related to public welfare, sanitation, and disaster preparedness

Right to Food
Nagarik Adhikar Raksha Sangathan is a dedicated NGO that works towards ensuring the basic rights of marginalized communities, including the Right to Food. The organization strives to create awareness about food entitlements under government schemes like PDS (Public Distribution System) and Mid-Day Meal programs. Through community outreach, health and nutrition camps, and support for rural workers under MGNREGA, the NGO works to reduce hunger and improve food security in underserved areas. Its mission is to empower people by making them aware of their constitutional rights and ensuring that no one is denied access to adequate nutrition.
Animal Welfare
At Nagarik Adhikar Raksha Sangathan, we believe serving animals is akin to serving God. We work for voiceless, vulnerable stray animals—dogs, cats, birds, and others. Our team of dedicated volunteers and veterinary professionals rescue, feed, and treat injured or sick animals. We ensure they get the care they deserve, promoting compassion and kindness toward every living being, especially those unable to speak for themselves.
Awareness on Public Safety
In the marginalized communities we serve, many individuals remain unaware of their fundamental rights and responsibilities. We conduct awareness drives, educational sessions, and public meetings to enlighten people about civic duties, legal rights, and public safety norms. By empowering citizens with knowledge, we help them stand up for themselves, promote peace, and foster safer, more informed communities that are aware of their rights and roles in society.
Public Health
Health is a major concern in the underprivileged areas we operate in. Most people suffer due to poverty, lacking access to quality healthcare. We run regular health camps, offer free consultations, diagnosis, and essential medical support. Additionally, our organization operates a low-cost clinic providing accessible health services. Our goal is to ensure no one is left behind when it comes to their basic right to live a healthy life.
Legal Rights of Individuals and Public
We actively work to protect and promote the legal rights of individuals and communities. Many people are unaware of their legal entitlements or fear seeking justice. Our team provides guidance, support, and legal awareness to help them understand and claim their rights. Whether it involves individual grievances or collective concerns, we stand with people to ensure they receive fair treatment under the law and justice is delivered.
Right to Food and Work
We believe that every individual deserves a life of dignity, which starts with access to food and meaningful work. Through this initiative, we raise awareness about the fundamental rights to nourishment and livelihood. We connect people to government schemes, community kitchens, and employment resources, empowering them to lead better lives. Our efforts are focused on ending hunger and promoting self-sufficiency among the most vulnerable populations.
Women Empowerment
Women are the backbone of any progressive society. We aim to empower them by promoting financial independence and self-reliance. Our organization offers free sewing and stitching training to women, helping them develop skills to earn a livelihood. We also guide and support them in starting their own ventures. Through skill development and entrepreneurship, we help women gain confidence, independence, and an equal place in society.
